I've worn Ruby Slippers 4 times now, and while I love the color, it wears off almost completely within maybe 4 hours. I also had a hard time blending oil slick and I think lyrical...Mainly it's the lasting issue, maybe I'm doing it wrong, or these shadows need a different type of application (like Fyrrinae).

I thought the matte colours were the lusters, all the others are shimmer/liner? Except there's a matte liner, Shocking, which I really don't like. That's the only one I had difficulty with though.

I hate to do it, but after getting my Sassy eyeshadows and using them several times, I have to say I probably wouldn't buy them again. The matte shades I got were great, but the luster and liner colors just didn't do it for me. They were hard to blend and didn't last very long, even over TFSI and Pixie Epoxy. I simply love their foundation, primer, and finisher, though! It's damn near perfect and doesn't aggravate my acne prone skin. The blushes were good, but I'm not much of a blush person so I only tried them a few times.

Yeah, like I said I think that they're pigmented, I just think you perhaps need to build up a little more because of the shimmery/sparkly finish than you otherwise would.

Sticky base (it'd be great if they sold one and sent out small free samples with orders or something?) and dab/pat it on, and I haven't had any trouble.

I received a ton of samples from Sassy to do my review of their products, like you did Ana. I definitely feel like they're all custom made. My only thought was that some of the colors weren't as pigmented as I would have liked, but as you explained, that could be because of the finish.

Hey Amanda, of course I don't mind at all.

I use a mixture, some MAC (239, 217, 275 particularly), some GOSH brushes (I like the GOSH flat eyeshadow brush more than the MAC 239 and they're extremely similar), the GOSH round eyeshadow brush (VERY similar to the MAC 219) and also a Revlon contour shadow brush, which is similar to the MAC 217 but more tapered and smaller, and really handy as a crease brush.

I have 30-40 brushes all in so those are the ones I use most frequently for eye-looks.

I know Phyrra liked their foundation and was really impressed they matched her, and she and I are similar in skintone so that might match me, too. I can't really do mineral foundation justice with only my MAC 187 to apply it though, I need something heavier!

Thank you for your review! I agree on everything. When I first ordered from Sassy, I was really surprised to hear that they are such a new company. The website layout is really professional, it's simple, it works, and the photos are gorgeous. Shipping is cheap, and I received my order in one week... and I live in Finland. Sassy has probably become my favorite MMU company, after only two orders.
