I've been using the Black Magic cream soap for about a week now, and my oily, yet ridiculously sensitive skin LOVES it. This product removes all traces of my long-lasting, waterproof BB Cream without destroying my complexion. Plus, it smells like a lemon-mint Ricola. Good stuff. :)

Have you tried the Snake Oil yet? I highly recommend it for tattoos, freshly shaved legs, and as a quick and easy hair treatment. I spritz a little onto my palms, run 'em through my hair, then wash it out after 15-20 minutes. My hair is left soft, shiny and less inclined to become a frizzy mess.

@Jessica: I have ragweed/pollen allergies. Black Magic doesn't exacerbate them in the least bit, but YMMV. :)

Oh god I must have fresh snow! My hubby always laughs at me because I constantly use clean linen carpet powder, air freshener, candles & linen spray. You mean to tell me that I can now smell like it too!! I have been wanting to order from Becca for a long time but unfortunately because I have to hand over $5k for a much needed surgery (thanks no health insurance) before they'll even touch me, I wont be able to try any for a long time. =(

Oh wow, I used to fragrance my room by opening a bottle of fabric conditioner on my desk and squeezing it occasionally, so that Fresh Snow perfume sounds like a must-have!

I'm also now exceedingly curouls about the black magic soap, I've never used a bar of soap on my face before, but your review, coupled with all the comments have convinced me to order a sample!

@Corbyjane - Thanks! I think I did. Peachy is from a very recent order, I did think it seemed a little thicker than usual. My personal preference is pistachio butter balms though over shea.

@Andrea - They look badass and indomitable :D when I use black magic it feels like I have ordinary-not-stupid skin, tbh. It just calms everything down and prevents some of the insane greasies around my t-zone.
Okay, I'll add Tart and Mermaid to my sample list :3

@Dull Flame - Solid perfumes and indies are good for people with sensitive noses. You should definitely try Black Magic if you do order, it seems pretty magical on many different skintypes.

@Kathyeffingjacobs - I love your screen name XD I've never tried (or honestly, even seen) African Black Soap but I'll take Amanda's word for it that they aren't similar. I love it when commenters answer one another, haha.

She makes the cream version for people who don't like to use the bar, though. I usually lather my bar up and then rub it against a cloth or my hands over my face o.O

I adore this company. The Black Magic soap has done wonders for my skin. I'm prone to acne (since I was eleven), and after I switched to Black Magic my breakouts are both less severe and less frequent.

But for me, it's the perfumes. Oh man, I love the perfumes. I'm really, really picky when it comes to scent, and right now I have 10+ of theirs. It's a little nuts.

I've been thrilled to pieces with all of the OHWTO items I've received. I want to swim in Raspberry Ginger Ale forever and ever, it's heavenly. And that adorable Evil Angel up there recommended the Carnivale scent and it too is freakin' fab!

I adore Becca and OHWTO. While I'm certainly not an expert in the realm of indie body care, I was bowled over by the level of personal care Becca takes with her company. It shows in everything from the variety of scents to the details in packaging to her willingness to customize- I could be wrong, but I believe the Maple Syrup scent was actually "created" at my request; I couldn't find the scent anywhere and wanted to snag some for my fiance. Becca whipped up some for us in cream soap form and we both LOVED it!

Speaking of which, I want to let everyone know, if you're sensitive and generally scared to use scented body products, you may have good luck with this. I used it on myself with no issues, then went on to use it on my VERY sensitive toddler, without any issues what so ever (for reference, Burt's Bees baby wash breaks her out in full body hives!)

I am very curious about the Black Magic soap. I adore the base Becca has created for Black Magic- it uses very gentle detergents combined with emollient and soothing ingredients.

My one hold back is the fact that I do have very sensitive skin (actual dermatologist diagnosed sensitive skin, not just "I think I'm sensitive because I break out occasionally".) I've learned through my research to stay away from peppermint and citrus oils because they can be irritants. Also, if you have ragweed/pollen allergies, calendula can trigger that. I'm assuming from all of the great reviews that the concentrations of these ingredients are low in OHWTO's formulation, but I'd still love to see a "sensitive" version without them...hmmm- Oh Becca!

OH and did you see the new Smell Goods scented beads? They're available in your beloved Fresh Snow (and a bunch of other scents too!) Just thought I'd let you know, since you didn't mention it :)

I absolute ADORE Becca's products. As die hard Aromaleigh lip balm fan, I have to agree on your review of the lip balms. I also love her tinted lip balms.

One thing I want to SHOUT FROM THE ROOF TOPS is that Becca's Solid perfume just ROCKS for those of us with extreme skin sensitivities who can not wear regular perfume without a reaction.

I had not worn perfume for YEARS due to my sensitivities, so thrilled when I sampled her solid scents and found that I could wear them. I actually cried because I was so happy.

I actually had the pleasure of meeting Becca in person before they moved down south and she is just simply awesome! :)
