After I posted my Lost In Makeupland review, I went and bought a giant 10g jar of Faerie and Whipped; because at the time Belén was running a buy-one-get-one-free offer on all her full-sizes, I got a jar free and so both jars only cost a total of $8 - which is fantastic. She does a different offer each week!
Belén is fast becoming my make-up hero. She offered to make me a custom highlight after I more-or-less begged her for one, I asked for it to be designed for pale-pale girls with cool pink undertones. What she came up with is fantastic. She used photos to match it to my skin, and it really does. When I use it on my eyes it melts into my skin, disappearing except for lightening and lifting the area and adding a beautifully subtle, soft shimmer. I got to name it, so I called it English Rose, after the term used to describe the gorgeous pale-skinned rosy-cheeked complexion I adore.
I also got Glow this time, which looks similar to Faerie when swatched, but Faerie is more of a warmish peach tone, whereas glow has pink undertones with golden sheen and shimmer. Glow would look fantastic on me if I wanted to warm up a look, and I think would make a lovely cheek highlight. You really can't see how beautiful it is because the pink tones disappear on me, but let me reiterate that Lost In Makeupland make my favourite highlights and I think you should all own them.
As you can see, I also got samples of Belén's new colours and her Rock My Look collection, an absolutely stunning set of deep, dark, dramatic, metallic shades which are complex and gorgeous and generally amazing. They're all inspired by rock songs, and you can read about the inspiration and see some lovely swatches in different lighting here. You can also see that Seven Nation Army isn't as green as it looks there and is, in fact, much sparklier and more delicious.
I swatched Whipped again next to Snow for comparison; Snow is more of a pure white eyeshadow which is a little more satin and a lot more pigmented, whereas Whipped is a much sparklier, much more reflective highlight which is a little more golden. Whipped will go on much more sheer applied with a brush because it's a highlight, whereas Snow is more of a traditional white eyeshadow. I love the soft, buttery golden yellow of Lazy Sunday, and I adore the satin dirty gold of Mustard, and I am absolutely crazy about Sugar-Coated because, well, look at it!
Suffice it to say: love. Totally absolutely in love. They are all totally gorgeous.
Since my original review, Belén has also got business cards, printed labels which list the shade name, whether or not it's vegan and company logo, and sends an invoice with a personal note and a print-out of all the eyeshadow ingredients on the back. It doesn't just have a general and 'may contain' list, but a specific one for each eyeshadow, which is very useful.
I know about some of the things that Lost In Makeupland has coming up, and although I can't talk about them, I will say that I am incredibly excited, and extremely impressed with everything they've produced thus far.
Don't forget I've swatched the rest of Lost In Makeupland's eyeshadows here.

25 January 2011 02:43This is all your fault!!
Oooo, I want Glow! I think it would be nice for me, w/o being too pale for my skin.
25 January 2011 02:56Gorgeous! Love your swatches!
25 January 2011 03:00Aw, now I want to buy English Rose but it's not in the shop - and I'm on a stupid no-buy :`O
25 January 2011 04:00I have a fair, but with light gold undertones. I think Faerie or Glow would go perfect with my complexion ~
25 January 2011 04:56these are all fantastic. Seven Nation Army & Libertine are stunning.
I think I've found my next makeup purchase :-D
25 January 2011 05:04I love your swatches. Brilliant!

Unf. All the Rock colors are made of sexy. I thought they were from her own swatches, but daaamn. Lovely work! I like the highlighters, too. *_*
25 January 2011 08:29How have I gone so long without knowing about this blog?! I am a trainee make-up artist and obsessed with alternative brands and crazy colours... so unsurprisingly I have just fallen a little bit in love.
25 January 2011 10:29However, I do not thank you for encouraging me to spend even more cash on make-up. I now have a wishlist as long as my arm, or possibly longer... but really, how can I not buy a highlighter called 'Faerie'?
Sugar-Coated and Lazy Sunday, oh my!
25 January 2011 12:57And the whole Rock My Look? Yes, ma'am!
I sort of want to buy Dream On purely for the name (I'm assuming it's named after the Depeche Mode song) even though I'm not sure I'd wear it. Libertine looks so pretty though. Also I like the sound of the highlighter you got created. I have trouble finding a highlighter to blend out the bright colours I use, so lord knows how I'd cope with more natural ones.
25 January 2011 13:31Ana, will you marry me? I'll make you lots of makeup in return!! lol
25 January 2011 15:01Seriously, I'm glad you liked your highlighter and that you're so excited with my company, I feel really honored ^______^
Thank you for helping my company grow! <3
Your highlighter comparison is great too and your swatches really accurate as always.
I can't wait to see English Rose in actionnnnnn

Aww, these colors are awesome. I really like the highlights! c:
25 January 2011 15:56Oh woooooow, some of these look absolutely stunning! I am desperate for English Rose now, I have that sort of complexion, only more pink and less attractive :P
25 January 2011 22:39I love reading your blog! It makes me feel more encouraged to try out new looks and play with colors, which I've initially been terrified of doing.
26 January 2011 16:54I do want to make one suggestion about your reviews, though. Would it be possible to have a more prominent link to the company's website in the review? Preferably right at the beginning or end of the review? I often can't find a link to the company's page (although you do sometimes post links directly to some of the products). I find the companies by Googling them! :D A simple link would not only generate more web traffic for the company, but if they monitor that traffic, they'll see exactly where it's coming from--you! Not to mention it makes it faster for me to buy the products you rave about. <3
Anyway, thanks for writing your blog. I'm completely in love with it. <3
@EsperMakeup - I knowwwww. Haha, sorry :( Nothing has sucked lately! I don't really have anyone to review negatively...
27 January 2011 04:21@Kimberly - I want 10g jars of them all XD I definitely need a huge Glow and Sugar-Coated. Ahaha sorry!
@Dominique - I think so! It's very flattering imo, I love the golden glow it has. You should try faerie, too, since that's warm and peachy.
@Phyrra - Thank you <3
@eRin - It is now :D!
@Rachael - Absolutely. As I say, they are THE BEST HIGHLIGHTERSOMG I'd support getting at least a sample of both of them ^__^
@MzStaceyD - Thanks! Hee, yeah, they're on my list too!
@Lyndsey - I knowww, I am so in love with it. It's so perfect! I'm going to make her press me one too >:D
@Windbourne - They seriously are! I think her swatches are great, too. The highlighters are amayzing<3
@ultimategothguide - Oh, hooray :D Hi! Aha, sorry :( have you run into any of my OMGFYRINNAE posts yet? If not, your wallet is gonna be in trouuubleeee.
@Ana - My thoughts exactly.
@Kate - Actually it's the Aerosmith song :D I think it's a gorgeous deep dirty gold, I want to try it with Sugarpill's Goldilux or an antique silver for something steampunky. I find natural highlighters make blending out bold colours easier - you can pile more on and keep blending out to get the softness you want, and it doesn't look overdone. Then you can always highlight under the brow arch with a much lighter one, like Whipped.
@Belén - YES. YES A THOUSAND TIMES YES. :D
Awwh, I love everything you make! Make more! Now! <_<
@Sperrfeuer - They are soooo pretty T_T I adore the highlightssomuch<3
@Lillian - I knowww! You should get it! getitgetit! We'll match. We'll be highlight twins :O
@Ciradessa - Ooh, okay. I'll try to put a more obvious link into formal reviews. This was just a swatchyupdatething which is why it didn't have the proper review layout. Sometimes I'm wary about being all THE SHOP IS RIGHT HERE GUYS in case people think I'm being paid to advertise or something x__x
Oooh, I'm in love with Dream On and Sugar Coated! I need to get my butt in gear and order some stuff already LOL!
