EDIT: Zoe got her own blog! Check it out here for more of her awesomeness!
This is the last of the guest posts, this one is written by Zoe, who wanted to review Morgana Minerals but who doesn't write her own blog. She should! Yell at her.
I'll be doing my own Morgana Minerals review when my order arrives, just to confuse you.
Needless to say, the views expressed in this post are hers, and do not necessarily reflect my own. - Ana

Morgana Minerals is a small independent mineral make up company owned by Melissa. She makes mineral eye shadows, foundations, and lipsticks. She also sells some eyeliners, hair dyes, and brushes.
I don’t care for her website much. It is easy to navigate, but looks unprofessional. Sometimes she uses ‘pics’ instead of pictures and ‘2’ instead of two or to. It is not a very big deal, it just bothers me. I used a gift card to order and it was very simple.
There was a shipping delay on my order. Melissa doubled my sample sizes on my eye shadows to make up for it. I have been exchanging emails with her on and off for a few months and she is always very prompt to reply. Usually she got back to me in less than an hour. Her emails are always very polite and informative. She has very good customer service.
The Lipsticks:
The lipsticks are amazing. It only takes one stroke to get full opaque cover. The lipsticks last a very long time, without drying out your lips like other long lasting products I have tried. The only time I had to reapply was after eating. None of the lipsticks I got really smell or taste like anything.
I was very excited to try these lipsticks because they come in so many unusual colors. It is sometimes hard to find high quality lipsticks in such strange colors. And the price is great, only $10.
Full sized lipsticks come in a simple silver lipstick tube. Sample sizes come in plastic bags.
- Medusa: “Golden green with a lime scent.” I really like this color. It is a warm green color. It has recently been discontinued, so if you want it, it is on sale for $5.
- Cauldron: “Cauldron is a matte black with silver hologram sparkle. The sparkle looks silver, but changes colors depending on light angles. Hints of green glitter reflect in this picture.” I was disappointed in cauldron. While it is a very nice black the sparkles barely show up.
- Azalea: “Hot pink” This is my favorite out of all the lipsticks I got. It is a very deep, bright pink. Under some lights it looks almost red.
- Blueberry: “Medium blue with a blueberry scent.” It is a nice dark shade of blue. I have never seen this shade of blue lipstick sold anywhere else. I couldn’t smell any blueberry scent.
- Spellbound: “Spellbound is medium-dark blue with a hint of silver highlight.” Spellbound is a lot like blueberry, but is metallic. It was the only lipstick I had trouble with. The color didn’t show up as opaque as the other lipsticks.
The eye shadows: I have been really enjoying the eye shadows. They are easy to use, and blend nicely. The best part is the price. Only $5
The eye shadows come in a five gram jar with a sifter. Samples sizes come in a plastic baggie.
Unfortunately, because there have been no sunny days in Minnesota for a ridiculously long time, I was unable to get any accurate pictures of the eye shadows. I assure you they are all very pretty.
- Fantasy Nouveaux: “It is a luscious grape with silver and aqua sparkles that catch light beautifully! And the coverage is great too!” I love this color. It is really quite beautiful; I have never seen another color like it. It is a great purple with a whole lot of sparkle.
- Shady Pines: “Blackened pine with glowing green sheen and bright green sparkles.” Shady Pines is from the Christmas collection. It is a really lovely dark green with a little bit of sparkle. The only problem I have with it is if you blend it out to much it will look a bit brown. I have been using it as eyeliner.
- Madagascar: “A cool toned pink-cherry with a hint of purple-blue sheen.” It is from the Pirate Collection. I do not have much of an opinion on this because I have not used it yet. From the hand swatch I did I can tell it is a very bright, beautiful color.
Conclusion: I would most certainly buy from Morgana Minerals again; in fact I already made another order. The prices are very reasonable, the service was great, and the products are wonderful.

Great post. I had the same problem with Cauldron, it's a really nice black but the sparkles aren't as noticeable as i had hoped.

30 January 2010 15:11Definitely get yourself a blog!!!
I really adore the lipsticks, too.
I think there was a bit of a trick I did with Cauldron. I think I applied it, then blotted, and the glitter showed up better.
Thanks you guys!
30 January 2010 16:26about cauldron,, thinking about it, it may be because I got a sample size, so that I couldn't apply it properly. I just bought a full size so I'll see if that makes a difference.
And I think I will get my own blog. I don't buy make up all that often, so I think I might just review movies and TV, and whatever nerdy else. :)

30 January 2010 23:14I've been wanting to order from Morgana Minerals for a while... it's hard to resist a promising unconventional-colored lipstick. I think you finally talked me into it ;p
