The promised EOTDs I did with my Sassy Minerals. The first one didn't come out as well as I'd have liked, because I over-blended it and didn't realise that Sexy Nerd was gold, not gun-metal grey. Proud moment for me, there. The second one I changed base with, to get a much more vibrant finish, although if I did another (which I will, I still haven't used Flash of Brilliance!) I'd use the technique in my Rainbow Eyes tutorial, applying each colour separately to the base (probably wet) and blending carefully in-between, to avoid overblending and reducing the pretty sparkle these have.
Whistleblower - Step-by-Step

I love this shot, even if I killed the eyeshadow's vibrancy.
- Prime lids with a sticky base. I used Urban Decay's Primer Potion here, but in hindsight, a stickier base would have been better. (I'll be testing out Fyrinnae's Epoxy soon)
- Apply Sassy's Tattletale wet, all over the lid and slightly above the crease. I do this by spraying mixing medium on my brush (GOSH flat/MAC 239), tipping some of the eyeshadow into the lid and mixing it until I get a paste-consistency. Use the dab-and-pat method to apply it all over the lid.
- Wipe the brush off and re-apply Tattletale dry, over it, switching to the stiff-domed brush (MAC 217/Revlon Contour Shadow brush) to blend out the edges over the crease. With dark colours I like to blend them out up toward the brow-bone to create a smokier effect.
- With a stiff-domed brush (MAC 217/Revlon Contour Shadow), darken the crease using Sexy Nerd (only don't, because the colour doesn't go here at all and I'm apparently blind, I'd suggest Break The Silence, or Why Not? instead)
- Apply a little Tattletale dry on the lower lash-line using a thin pencil brush (MAC 219/GOSH round eyeshadow brush) keeping it thin to the line, blending it out with a clean pencil/stiff-dome brush for a smoky edge.
- Highlight, I used MAC Shroom and blended it into the Tattletale/Sexy Nerd for more of the smoky-look (re-applying some of the crease shade on a 217 brush to re-darken the edges), then re-highlighted the highest point of the arch with a lighter shade (the shimmery white included in many Sleek iDivine palettes).
- Coat lashes with Urban Decay Lash Primer, a few coats of Bourjois Liner Effect mascara and top-off with L'Oreal Telescopic.
- Line top & bottom lash-line (and waterline) with Urban Decay 24/7 pencil in Zero.
Surprisingly Green - Step-by-Step

I ended up making this almost entirely green, because I didn't count on the green duo-chrome of Break The Silence, and I applied one colour over another, instead of separately on the base. It came out pretty nicely, I think, and looked nice and sparkly in person, but I lost a lot of the colours' complexity in application.
This one is 'surprisingly' green because I used these colours.
Top: Jinx. Bottom: Break the Silence, Disturbing the Peace.

If you're convinced, but want to know which shades I think are most worth ordering, check out:
Of course, I haven't tried all of them and there are plenty more which are totally gorgeous, but if you're placing an order, those are the ones I'd definitely urge you to at least try samples of, especially as the website shots don't do them justice.
- This time I used a sticky Make Up For Ever flash colour in greenyblue (it doesn't have a colour name/number) all over the lid as a base. They're like MAC Paint Pots, but never seem to dry, making them a great sticky base for eyeshadow. A Paint Pot would work well here, too, though.
- Pat Disturbing the Peace all over the lid and slightly above the crease with your shader brush (MAC 239/GOSH Flat). Really press it in and make sure there's no gaps.
- Shade Break The Silence into the crease and outer-V, working it into the edge of the lid for depth, using the stiff dome brush (MAC 217/Revlon Contour Shadow brush).
- Starting in the inner-corner above the crease, blend out the Disturbing the Peace using Jinx and a crease brush (MAC 219/GOSH round/MAC 217/Revlon Contour depending on eye size) take this above the crease toward the brow-bone.
- Sweep a little Disturbing the Peace along the lower-lashline with a thin pencil (MAC 219/Revlon Contour Shadow) brush.
- Highlight, blending the highlighter into the Jinx. I used MAC Shroom & re-highlighted the highest point of the brow arch with Sleek's shimmery white colour.
- Line the upper lid, then the waterline, using a small brush or sponge to smudge the edge, giving it a smokier black to blend into the Disturbing the Peace in the outer-corner. Highlight inner-corner & blend it into the lash-line & up into the crease.
- Coat lashes with Urban Decay Lash Primer, a few coats of Bourjois Liner Effect mascara and top-off with L'Oreal Telescopic.
- For lips, prime with Urban Decay Lip Primer, coat in Barry M lip paint in 100, and finish with MAC lipglass in Delicate Crush.
- Foundation is Estée Lauder Doublewear in Shell, finished with MAC Mineralized Natural Skin Finish in Light.

27 November 2009 20:11I do reaaaally like Sassy, the sparkle is striking without being juvenile glitter, which I think is hard to find. Check my review again for updated swatches.
Thanks Julissa! It's actually more bluey on its own, but the Break The Silence has heavy greeny blue sparkles and together it all went greeny.
27 November 2009 20:12Haha, everything seems to turn green on me!
I swear you mentioned someplace they have a link or something that shows how much comes in their sample sizes. And now I can't find it.
27 November 2009 20:36Help an old lady out?!
It's a link saying "size chart" on every Sassy product, once you go to the product page.

Only that's specific to that Eye Shimmer I clicked on ;x It's above the add-to-cart button.

28 November 2009 16:36<3 Grey
Isn't it pretty, Kristen? It was the first one I played with when I opened them all up, aha. It doesn't have the same sparkle that the others do, but it's a lovely bold colour on its own.
28 November 2009 16:40<3 Squee Jessica~~
28 November 2009 16:40I only started to like green because I loved red, so I dyed my hair red. What looks good on redheads? Green! And so it began.
Both looks are so gorgeous and vibrant! And I love that green, it's stunning!
2 December 2009 21:11We have the same hair color! Too bad my cut's starting to grow out so I look like a low budget Joan Jett impersonator...
4 December 2009 05:12Thank you Gio! I have a new one to post with Gasoline rainbow, after my latest Sassy haul.
11 December 2009 13:25The shipping is so fast - my international order arrived within about 5 days, I was amazed.
