Let's Go Save The World, Guys!

This week is National Recycling Week. Now's the time to resolve to re-use, re-cycle and be greener than ever (you all know I love green). Just like New Year's Resolutions, except that you should keep these ones.

I know, it's a pain, sorting and de-labeling and all that, but times are a-changin' and it's more current than ever to ditch the carrier bags in favour of their eternal and ever-more-stylish For Life versions. It's a fair-trade-organic-cotton-100%-recycled world we're living in, and in that spirit, I've decided to post a few of my favourite green shopping solutions.

The Tate Modern "Bigger Picture" Bag for Life - Price Unknown

The Body Shop "Green is not a colour" Bag for Life - £3.40

Spreadshirt "Red Circle Ninja" Tote Bag - £12.17

Spreadshirt "Fight The Power" Tote Bag - £10.94

Don't like any of those? You can choose from hundreds, or design your own and have it printed at www.spreadshirt.com. If that's not DIY enough for you, you can follow this guide to making your own bag for life with your own fair hands. They use a Celia Birtwell print, but you can use any stencil you like!

It's bound to look better than a stale old carrier bag, at any rate.

I know, right? That shop has a ton of cute ninja bags. I love Spreadshirt, they've got a ton of images to choose from to design your own, and you can upload whatever you like, change colours, finishes, text, etc.

I use one of their retro bags I designed as my daily bag, I like biiig bags (so I can carry a ton!) and those are huge.

Goodness me, you check my blog at WORK? I'm shocked! The most stimulating thing I can do at work is write limericks, since our computers will only run work-programs.

One of my colleagues wrote this one about me:

There was a young woman called Ana
Whose weapon of choice was a spanner
She'd bash in your head
If she thought you had said
That she had a peculiar manner

Thumbs up on the Ninja bag from me too!

I HIGHLY recommend Envirosax- I use them every time I grocery shop- a set of 5 costs $37 but they hold a lot and last forever! Plus, you can get tons of cute patterns. They do sell them separately, but everyone needs more than one!

OKay I want that red ninja bag. I mean for real can you get any cuter. LOVE it. I wish they sold it here, I'd definitely pick me up one or two. I just keep forgetting to put mine in the car, so by the time I go shopping, mine are at home. Note to self put bags in car.
