To kick off the new rating system and whatnot, I'm going to start by reviewing my newest 1337 product.
If you're pale-skinned and don't want to look like a tangerine, finding a suitable foundation can be pretty damn tricky. Trickier still, your concealer should always be one shade lighter than your foundation, which seems great in theory until you find out that most cosmetic companies only make two or three shades of concealer, tops. Pain in the butt, right?
But no longer! Thanks to Bobbi Brown, who I previously never really noticed.

Bobbi Brown do a whole range of concealers. Technically the product I'm looking at isn't concealer, it's their cream Corrector, which is pink-based instead of yellow-based and is designed to be used on very heavy under-eye circles under their regular yellow-based Creamy Concealer. But screw that! Turns out it's friggin' amazing as an all-round-everything-super-duper concealer if you just have pale skin with cool pink undertones.
What I Love About It:
- Consistency
- Packaging
- Shade Selection
What I Hate About It:
The price. That's it, it's just shy of £15 which seems like a lot when you see how tiny the pot looks, but it does last a very long time, and a good concealer can rescue a very bad face, so it's absolutely one of my holy-grail 1337 products.
Is It Really Worth It?: Yes. If you haven't yet found your perfect concealer, try these. If you're not sure what shade to go for, try to track down a sample and try it out, because they do more than enough shades.
The Bottom Line:
This gets...

Awesome! I too have freakishly pale skin, and with very pink undertones. I'm going to have to try this out. Thanks for the review!
16 January 2009 09:21my friend's freakishly pale too and she loves this concealer!
16 January 2009 11:43Thanks for the review. I have very pale skin and it's so hard to find a concealer that's pale enough for me. I'll definitely try this.
16 January 2009 19:31I may have to give this a try!
16 January 2009 21:12I have very pale skin, and the best concealer I've been able to find has been UD's 24/7 in CIA. Now, it works very well for me, but I'm definitely open to trying new things ;>
Ana I've been looking for a "new" concealer and I have a BB concealer palette right in my makeup stash. Maybe teh best things in life are right up under your nose.
16 January 2009 23:05I have the face touch-up palette, which came with a concealer (bisque), concealer (warm natural), pressed powder (pale yellow sheer) and foundation stick (warm natural). It sounds like a lot and it is but it sits literally in the palm of your hand.
I bought it because it had everything a girl could need for a face touch up or if you were traveling. Hmmm I wonder if she still makes these?
